H&M Men Autumn/Winter 2012 Lookbook & Video: Formalwear Inspired Dailywear Funnel Slim Structure Beyond High Street Fast Fashion

This Autumn/Winter 2012 for H&M is full of big bold colours and great distinguish structures. From red to green, from short length leg to funnel slim shape cut, these fashion element do light up the cold weather. More likely seeing the formalwear looks, especially the suiting, the outerwear jacket above the suits, the baseball jacket on the shirt, the knitwear styling with trousers, it means this Autumn/Winter 2012 tends to embrace a more structured construction for modern men to shape the body proportion.

It’s hard for me to believe that the slim cut fit trousers will actually come to H&M, and modelled by a more Asian look model. The reason is I have been looking on H&M’s formal trousers, which are hardly fitting for different bone structures from their north Europe origins. The big and long is the first image that I could picture if purchasing a pair of trousers from H&M; however, the upcoming Asian fashion market is so crucial that H&M as the leader of fast fashion businesses, they could not help to change their pattern cut and to fit in the local market. But also, it’s nothing harmful to be honest, as british fashion loves the slim cut and skinny structure, it’s a great news for modern men for enjoy the importance of body figure, which is traditionally highly advertised in womenswear.

This Autumn/Winter 2012 is far more than high street fashion for H&M, despite some looks are quite functional. The classic pure coloured items are well presented in this range, especially the red suiting with yellow cardigan and high collar rolled jumper, in that funnel structure, it’s beyond the commercially driven high street fashion.
